Ecology: Bell Miners

Bell miners are small, territorial honeyeaters indigenous to Australia. They aggressively defend their community against all other birds. Their preferred habitat is similar to that of helmeted honeyeaters, and foraging behaviour is similar.

The presence of bell miners appears to reduce the number of available breeding territories for helmeted honeyeaters.
