Casuarina equisetifolia is not a mangrove, but grows marginal to tidal mud flats.

Casuarinas are commonly known as she-oaks or bull-oaks.
Casuarinas are not mangroves. Here they are growing on a sandy foreshore but the same species grows on the fringes of tidal mudflats.
Scaevola taccada, the lighter green plant growing along the sand, is commonly found growing on sandy foreshores in North East Queensland. Many species of
Scaevola (fan flowers) are cultivated commercially.
