Eucalypts: Eucalypt Open Forest

Eucalypts, including the genera Eucalyptus and Corymbia, dominate the Australian continent except for the arid zone, where they give way to acacias such as mulga ( Acacia aneura ).

There are over 700 species of eucalypts and they are all sclerophylls.

By examining the morphology and anatomy of eucalypts, you will discover some reasons why eucalypts are so successful in dry environments.
